We are delighted to inform you that SEE and CREATE is the Winner of the Kent Creative Award for Community Organisation of the Year!
Our mission is to break down barriers to participation in the visual arts supporting people of any age or background to have fun and creatively express themselves in a safe accessible and inclusive environment where everyone can participate on an equal footing.
All of our events are delivered in British Sign Language (BSL) and spoken English, and we have a unique focus on adapting to participants’ individual needs using visual means of communication.
We love to support people on their creative journeys and see the results of their endeavours!

On the 16th of November 2016 SEE&CREATE is launched at an event in Chatham, Kent with support from Arts Council England.
Successfully delivered 24 creative family events in BSL and spoken English at venues across the Medway, and created a What’s On listing website to make it easier to find creative activities delivered in BSL and spoken English.
We delivered six fun filled ‘WATCH CREATE’ episodes in BSL with English subtitles to view online with creative activities for children to view and have a go at making meaning that children didn’t have to miss out, with access to creative activities which could be enjoyed anytime, anywhere!
SEE&CREATE became a Community Interest Company supporting the long-term mission to grow, and deliver more fun, inclusive, creative events in BSL and spoken English, benefitting more people who would otherwise miss out on chances to express their creativity.
A pilot project offering a safe secure cultural and linguistic environment for signers and non-signers to express their creativity through arts workshops delivered in BSL and spoken English.

At See and Create, we are dedicated to integrating British Sign Language (BSL) into the visual arts. Our governance structure ensures transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making. Our board members bring diverse expertise and a shared passion for promoting BSL through art-related activities, workshops, and exhibitions. We prioritize the needs of the Deaf community and work closely with local organizations and funding partners to create a more inclusive and accessible artistic landscape.
