MORE ABOUT OUR APPROACH
SEE & CREATE has a vision of a society where increasing awareness and use of British Sign Language (BSL) supports inclusion for people who have been excluded from opportunities to develop their creativity.
We work in partnership with organisations and individuals in the arts and cultural sectors fostering wider understanding and use of BSL along with spoken English so that all members of society can start to believe that their creativity is recognised valued and celebrated.

FAMILIES
We work with our partners to support families to have opportunities to participate together in creative events. We have a determination to ensure that through offering activities in BSL and spoken English, families that have faced barriers to participation will not continue to miss out.
COMMUNITIES
We work with our partners to engage with individuals and groups in the community. By offering all our activities in BSL and spoken English we aim to give creative opportunities to sections of the community that are rarely reached. Uniquely we have the skills and knowledge to work with BSL native signers and non-signers to offer them a cultural and linguistic environment where they can feel safe, secure happy and supported in expressing their creativity.
SCHOOLS
We work with our partners in the education sector to deliver exciting creative events for schools. We see the vital importance of schools as a place where we can reach out to young people with additional cultural linguistic and social needs who face barriers to participation, offering them inclusive creative projects where they can experience museums and galleries and learn about art and artists in a way that they have rarely or never had a chance to do before.
Supporting organisations that share our vision for integrating BSL into the visual arts.
See and Create partners with local organisations like Mess Room, Sun Pier House, and Medway Council to promote British Sign Language (BSL) through art-related activities, workshops, and exhibitions. By collaborating with these organisations, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community where BSL is celebrated and embraced.
